Lieutenant Governor Healey doesnt think the citizens of Massachusetts want to elect someone who, as an attorney, represented an individual in the appeal of the sentence in a murder trial. History proves otherwise. Our first Vice President and one of our truly great Presidents, John Adams, served in those positions after he represented several of the defendants in the Boston Massacre Trial. He also participated in the Constitutional Convention and wrote the Massachusetts Constitution after representing those defendants. Just think what our country would have lost if people in our early history shared Kerry Healeys views.
The question we should be asking is whether we want a Governor who has a misunderstanding of the fundamental constitutional law and the role of attorneys in our society.
